Congratulations are in order for country singer Scotty McCreery and his wife, Gabi Dugal McCreery.

The former American Idol winner shared the happy news with People magazine on Tuesday (June 22), revealing that they are expecting their first child, a baby boy – whom we will all welcome in November.

Scotty tied the knot with Gabi – who currently works as a pediatric nurse – in the North Carolina mountains in 2018. The two started dating during their senior year of high school but have known each other since they first met in kindergarten.

The “Damn Strait” singer even once teased Gabi for writing “Mrs. Gabi McCreery” in her kindergarten diary, with hearts all over.

Now, They Are Soon Going To Be A Family Of Three

Scotty McCreery revealed that they have always talked about having kids together but put that thought on hold to spend the first few years of their marriage doing some cool things and experiencing life together.

But now, the pair decided that it’s the best time to take things slow and expand the family!

Well, it seems like the stars aligned for Scotty and his longtime love as Gabi Dugal McCreery found out she was expecting earlier this year. They’re even more thrilled when they learn it’s going to be a baby boy – after all, Scotty is the only boy on both sides of his family.

The country singer went on, looking forward to all the moments he would be sharing with his son. Meanwhile, Gabi’s career as a pediatric nurse will definitely be put into good use.

“Uncharted waters for us, but we can’t wait to dive in and meet the little man,” the country singer said. Indeed, the McCreery family is about to get even cuter. Wishing all the best for Scotty, Gabi, and the baby-to-be.
