The beautiful and talented country singer and songwriter, LeAnn Rimes is turning 37 today. She even posted a tweet about the last day of her being 36 years old.

She surely enjoyed her birthday, and even though she turned 37 today, Rimes is still as great and talented as she was at the beginning of her career.

LeAnn Rimes Fame

The country star was discovered at a very young age. Her first version of “Blue” became iconic and even placed her into the spotlight. She was even said to be Patsy Cline‘s successor. “Blue” is a song written by Bill Mack. He was the one who discovered Rimes, and he made her record his song. Among all the artists who covered “Blue,” Rimes was the one who made the song secure a spot on the top 10 of the US Billboard chart.

Check out young Rimes singing the song that brought her to fame:

From Country to Pop

After establishing her name in the country music scene, Rimes shifted her style of music. Her biggest pop hit was her song “How Do I Live.” Her single scored a lot of spots on the charts in and outside of the US. It reached number one on the Adult Contemporary and number two on the Hot 100. Surprisingly, the song also made a debut on the country chart but only on the top 40.

Rimes proved that she can be both a country and a pop singer. Her voice was not only meant to be used in one genre of music.

Recently she has been covering songs from different genres and adding a little bit of her own magic. She called it the LovE Sessions. In here, she teams up with great musicians to make it possible.

Here’s one of Rimes’ covers:

All we can say is that she’s truly a gifted artist. In the video above, you can hear Rimes unedited vocals, how amazing is that, right?

Happy birthday, LeAnn!
