In our day to day lives, we are sometimes faced with challenges. Those challenges and problems are a part of our life.  It’s there not to let us suffer, but for us to be strong and learn lessons from it. Sometimes, if challenges came into our lives, the first thing we do is to complain and question the Lord why He let that happen. But we should change that mindset. Instead of complaining, we should ask the Lord to light up our hearts and minds to see the best in every situation He puts us. Come, and let me share with you how Joey + Rory put their trust in the lord with their song “I Surrender All.”

Joey + Rory’s Version

Joey + Rory recorded the song “I Surrender All.” It was released in February 2016 as a second single from their seventh album, Hymns That Are Important to Us.

“I Surrender All” is a Christian hymn originally written by Judson Van DeVentern. Van DeVentern is a teacher and supervisor of arts at a Public School in the United States. In addition, he is also a musician, singer, and songwriter. He is one of the devotees of a Christian community. He uses his faith in the Lord in writing his 60 hymns during his lifetime. After publishing those hymns, he marked the hymn “I Surrender All” as the most successful hymn he had ever made.

Meanwhile,  Joey + Rory version of the song had sold thousands of copies worldwide. The album, which contains numerous gospel songs had topped the Billboard chart and Top Christian Albums. It has also reached number 4 on the Billboard top 200 hits. On its fourth week, the song again topped the Country Albums Chart.

From its title “I Surrender All,” the first thing that comes to mind is the Lord. Surrendering everything to the Lord means trusting the Lord in everything that comes into our lives. Whatever problems, trials, or disappointments come, the best thing to do is to pray. Prayers are the best weapon we could have during our battle because no one could ever defeat a person who is with God.
