If you were to ask someone what gospel songs they know, most would undoubtedly mention the song “It Is No Secret.” The song is one of the most famous gospel hymns to be recorded. Many outstanding musicians, like Jimmy Fortune, decided to release their versions of the song due to its exceptional excellence.

Stuart Hamblen first made the song available in 1951. The song’s original version peaked at no. 8 on the country disc jockey chart. It was also ranked as the 30th best-selling country song of 1951. Now it is clear why many musicians choose to release their versions, just by looking at the song’s chart performance and special meaning.

Due to the use of additional instruments, including guitar, piano, cello, and drums, Jimmy Fortunes’ rendition of It Is No Secret by Stuart Hamblen is more energetic. Jimmy Fortune’s rendition is more modernized and offers something new to both seasoned and new listeners.

Jimmy Fortune is one of the artists that enjoy singing hymns and praise songs to spread the message of God. He has been a mainstay of the country music industry for many years, and quite frankly, audiences adore his incredible voice.

In 2019, Jimmy Fortune released his version of the song as a part of his “God and Country” album. The said album managed to enter the charts, peaking at no. 56 on Billboard’s Top Album Sales and no. 11 on the list of top Christian albums.
