It all began when the pandemic hit, which led to Walker Hayes having some unexpected idle time at home. He scrolled through social media and noticed dance routine videos making a trend on TikTok. It pretty much looked fun to him, so he enlisted the help of his teenage daughter Lela to come up with a dance to one of his songs – this includes “Fancy Like.”

Much to their surprise, the dance video he and his daughter made in front of their porch skyrocketed. It reached more than four million within just four days.

Of course, remakes of the father-and-daughter’s dance moves were all over the internet too. Here are some of our favorites.

1. The Very Pregnant RaeLynn

This dance cover from the former contestant on The Voice is truly one of a kind. RaeLynn was actually hoping to naturally induce labor by dancing “Fancy Like.” She was nine months pregnant with her first child after five years of marriage with her husband, Josh Davis.

Still, the country hitmaker absolutely looked stunning and effortlessly pulled it off. It’s even approved by Hayes, who wrote “nailed it” in the comment section along with heart emojis.

2. Duck Dynasty Star Sadie Robertson

Robertson also hopped on the “Fancy Like” trend, and she’s joined by none other than her husband, Christian Huff. In the clip they posted on TikTok, the couple was donning comfy-looking loungewear as they shook their stuff out. The two definitely had a lot of fun doing it.

Before the video ends, Huff is seen performing a solo routine, and Robertson can’t help but laugh out loud.

3. Amy Adams is showing off her moves.

Even though Adams is not on TikTok, she’s learned a few things about “Fancy Like” through the Applebee’s commercial – and she never hesitated to show off her moves during an appearance on Late Night with Seth MeyersShe even sang the song.

Of course, she got Walker Hayes‘ seal of approval. The singer even said he’s hoping they could dance together.

How about you? Have you made your own dance cover?
