Superstar country duo Dan + Shay has unveiled new music called “Save Me The Trouble,” which will serve as the lead single off their forthcoming album, Bigger Houses – their first new album in two years.

The duo, composed of Shay Mooney and Dan Smyers, revealed that Bigger Houses will be on the market on September 15. It will feature twelve tracks, including the earlier released songs “Heartbreak On The Map” and “Bigger Houses.”

A Song Dan + Shay Is Proud of Writing

Written by Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney alongside Jordan Minton, Jordan Reynolds, and Ashley Gorley, “Save Me The Trouble” tells the story of a man meeting the woman of his dreams at a bar – and he knows he’s falling hard and fast.

Dan Smyers revealed that this is the very last song they wrote for the album Bigger Houses. When all the pressure is off, and nobody’s expecting anything, Smyers said the song poured out on them.

“I don’t think I’ve ever been prouder of a song that I am this one,” Smyers added. “We wanted to have something that was a real moment, and when we started writing this.”

It comes after Dan + Shay revealed that the last few years have been turbulent and that they nearly called it quits. In a video uploaded by the duo, Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney (who’ve known each other for nearly a decade already) admitted that they did not speak to each other for four months after wrapping up their headlining The (Arena) Tour.

Apparently, their career’s constant pace and hectic demands led to burnout. “I was in the lowest low of my entire life,” Smyers noted, adding that he was ready to quit.

Thankfully, one conversation changed everything, and now, they are determined to continue making music together.

That said, be sure to listen to Dan + Shay’s new song “Save Me The Trouble” by playing the video below.
