It’s this time of the year once again for year end lists acknowledging the best of the best in the music industry! As Billboard revealed its all-genre Top 100 Artists of 2020, country music is well represented with over a dozen of artists included this year.

With no surprise, Luke Combs has led all country artists in this year’s Billboard’s Top 100 artists list as he continually racks up awards qualifying him to enter the top 20 and finishing 1st. Other country stars follow including Morgan Wallen at no. 24, Kane Brown at no. 31, Maren Morris at no. 34 and Gabby Barret securing the 43rd spot all round up the top 50 on the list.

Billboard’s Top 100 artists are based on an artist’s activity on the Billboard Hot 100 song list, the Billboard 200 albums tally, the Billboard Boxscore, and the Social 50 chart for the 2020 tracking period which was from November 23, 2019 to November 14, 2020.

Leading the all-genre list are Post Malone, The Weekend, Rody Rich, DaBaby and Drake who secured the top 5 of the list respectively.

Here is the complete list of this year’s Billboard’s Top 100 Artists of 2020:

No. 13: Luke Combs
No. 24: Morgan Wallen
No. 31: Kane Brown
No. 34: Maren Morris
No. 43: Gabby Barrett
No. 51: Jason Aldean
No. 53: Blake Shelton
No. 58: Dan + Shay
No. 60: Sam Hunt
No. 73: Old Dominion
No. 74: Luke Bryan
No. 77: Thomas Rhett
No. 84: Lee Brice
No. 91: Jon Pardi
No. 92: Miranda Lambert
No. 93: Chris Stapleton
No. 99: Kenny Chesney
No. 100: Maddie & Tae

Dan + Shay’s collaboration with Justin Beiber, Luke Combs bagging tens of awards or Blake Shelton and Gwen Steffani’s engagement, these are just some of our top country moments this year.

Female artists have also gained much popularity through the years, with the likes of Maren Morris leading the way. Morris has established not only herself but the stand of female artists who, for years, have been searching for more airtime and respect. Gradually, they’re earning their due rewards.

2020 might be a year that most of us would like to forget, but country music has been blessed by some great music. Despite tours and concerts still on hold, country music can be experienced straight into your homes. 2021 has also promised to be a good one for all country fans.
