“Traveller,” “Nobody to Blame,” and “Starting Over” are some of the best Chris Stapleton songs, not to mention his version of “Tennessee Whiskey,” which was certified Diamond by the RIAA. Chris has indeed made a name for himself in the country scene.

His “I Want Love” cover was released in April 2018 and was included in the album Restoration: Reimagining the Songs of Elton John and Bernie Taupin. The said album featured the covers of famous country music artists like Miranda Lambert, Dierks Bentley, and Willie Nelson, with the special participation of Vince Gill and Dolly Parton.

Elton John is iconic. Everyone knows his name. He is a powerhouse and a force to be reckoned with. But with Chris Stapleton’s smooth, soulful voice, he was able to put a touch of old-school country to his version of “I Want Love” that fans can’t get enough of.

As of February 2024, Chris Stapleton’s cover of the song has reached 2M views on YouTube. In the comment section, one user said, “Is there nothing Chris Stapleton can not sing? The more you hear, the more you want -I like everything Chris sings, but I really love this song. His southern charm softens the words in this song.”
