Brooks revealed on his Inside Studio G series on the 25th of February that he will be releasing a seven-disc vinyl collection entitled The Legacy Collection. Inside it will feature five albums: No Fences, The Chase, In Pieces, Fresh Horses, and Triple Live.

The Legacy Collection is marketed in three packages, which Brooks talked about.

“This thing is going to come in three different packages for the way you like to listen to music. [There’s] the Analog version of Legacy . . . the original recordings the way they sounded. [There’s] another box that is called the Remix-Remaster series, which takes all that analog transferred to digital . . . the records kind of jump to life in more of a modern sound . . . louder, clearer. [And there’s] the Limited package . . . all the cool packaging . . . analog vinyl . . . and digital CDs, so you can actually listen to the difference right there.”

The vinyl is set to arrive on the 1st of November.

Garth Breaks the Internet

On the 26th of February, fans and audiophiles alike were able to reserve The Legacy Collection with a personalized six-digit issue number all for $100. The Analog and the Remix-Remaster versions sold for $50, and the Limited retailed for $80. But only a day later, the website that sold the vinyl collection crashed and no packages were sold at that time.

“I don’t think any of us would have guessed this was about to happen. Thank you always for the interest in the music. We’re going to get this thing rolling.”

On the 28th of February, a new website launched to sell his vinyl collection and he sold over 20,000 copies already. For about 18 hours, fans were able to purchase all three packages. During that time, Brooks moved 420,000 vinyl records in total.
