The 2020 CMT Awards will soon commence! More performers and celebrity hosts have been named over the course of the past few days. Here’s the updated list of performers and added celebrity host for this year.

Alongside Kane Brown and Sarah Hyland, Ashley McBryde will be co-hosting this year’s event. McBryde could not hide her excitement with a mix of nervousness as she was selected for this year’s awards shows. She also looked back at her career and how she loved and enjoyed being a part of events such as the CMT Awards and assures fans that they would love this year’s awards nights.

More Featured Performances

The 2020 CMT awards will be featuring performances from Ashley McBryde, Dan + Shay, Kane Brown, Little Big Town, Luke Bryan, Maren Morris, Caylee Hammack, Hardy, Ingrid Andress, Mickey Guyton, Riley Green, Travis Denning, Gabby Barrett, Morgan Wallen, Sam Hunt and Shania Twain, with collaborations from Jimmie Allen and Noah Cyrus, Kelsea Ballerini and Halsey, and Luke Combs and Brooks & Dunn.

The network also revealed that Brandi Carlile, Demi Lovato, Diplo, Idina Menzel, Jessica Chastain, Katy Perry, Kelly Clarkson, Rob Thomas, Tanya Tucker and Taylor Swift will serve as presenters during the show.

For the 2020 CMT Awards winners, the biggest stars sure did not disappoint. The likes of Luke Combs, who previously bagged several awards in this year’s Billboard Music Awards, and country music living legend Miranda Lambert will also be present.

Luke Combs

After winning several awards in this year’s Billboard Music Awards, Luke Combs continues to be a front-runner for several awards on this 2020 CMT Awards. Combs has nominations for the video of the year award for “Beer Never Broke My Heart” and for male video of the year for “Even though I’m leaving.” It could be remembered that Combs performed “Beer Never Broke My Heart” during last year’s CMT Music Awards that resulted to a blast from the crowds.

10,000 Hours

After earning a Billboard nomination and winning the ACM Best country duo, Dan + Shay’s 10,000 hours is again contending for another recognition. 10,000 hour features Canadian pop-star Justin Beiber who has been a long time friend of both Dan and Shay since they are handled by the same manager.

The song is inspired the number of hours they spend to learn how they love their wives. The song debuted at number 3 of the streaming chart and had 33.3 million streams in just a week. Yet, the competition for this year’s top duo video would not be a walk in the park for Dan + Shay. Songs from Brothers Osborne, Florida Georgia, LOCASH, and Maddie & Tae makes the completion even tighter.

Carrie Underwood

Known to many, Carrie Underwood has built a name for herself amongst the female artists in the country music industry. She has walked her way to the top of the charts and has her name linked to every single award. After co-winning this year’s ACM entertainer of the year award with Thomas Rhett, Carrie continues to be on the roll.

For this year’s CMT Awards, Underwood’s “Drinking Alone” appeared twice on different categories, Video of the year and Female Video of the Year.

Miranda Lambert

Miranda Lambert has been one of the most respected female artists in the industry. As she continually built a name for herself, Lambert is also well represented on this year’s CMT Awards. Her MV for her single “Bluebird” appears on two different categories: Video of the Year and the Female Video of the Year.

To find out whose video will be hailed as top performing this year, tune into the 2020 CMT Awards through 7PM CT on CMT, MTV, MTV2, Logo, Paramount Network, Pop and TV Land that will air on Wednesday, October 21 at 8PM ET.
