Meet the Country Singer FBI Director Kash Patel Has Reportedly Been Dating for 2 Years

Alan Jackson once sang that country boys can survive, but in this case, it looks like a country girl just walked straight into Washington and made herself at home.

Alexis Wilkins is not just a country singer. She is a Capitol Hill press secretary, a political firebrand, and the rumored long-term girlfriend of Kash Patel, who is Donald Trump’s pick to lead the FBI. Their relationship has stayed mostly quiet for two years, but now it is starting to make waves not only because of who Patel is but also because of who Wilkins is becoming.

Wilkins, who is 26 years old, met Patel at a conservative ReAwaken America event in late 2022. The spark lit fast, and by January 2023, they were reportedly together. She stood by him during his FBI confirmation hearing in early 2025 and has since become a regular presence in political circles, although she still keeps one boot planted firmly in Nashville.

She is not just some political accessory. Wilkins has been in country music since she was a kid. She dropped her EP Grit in 2023 and has kept releasing music ever since. Her Spotify numbers might not scream superstar yet, but that has never been her goal. She said in an interview with Beyond the Stage that it is relatable, it is country, and it is the truth. She leans into the storytelling, favors classic instrumentation, and has never hidden her love for traditional country. That alone puts her ahead of half the names getting airplay these days.

Before Nashville, Alexis spent part of her childhood in England and Switzerland, but her heart settled in Arkansas. In interviews, she has called it her favorite place she ever lived. She was raised an only child in a Christian home and eventually landed at Belmont University, where she earned a business degree. She also picked up awards for writing and critical thinking, which, if you have heard her speak, tracks completely.

These days, she is balancing her music career with a political one. Wilkins now works as a press secretary for Representative Abraham Hamadeh and splits her time between Washington and Tennessee. That is not the kind of side hustle most country singers pick up, but Alexis Wilkins is not most singers.

Her Instagram bio calls her a political commentator and a country artist. She also works with PragerU, sits on the NRA board, and contributes to The Unity Project and Turning Point USA. She is deeply connected to a network of conservative influencers and media platforms, and she is not shy about it. Whether or not you agree with her politics, she is not faking it.

When she joined The Megyn Kelly Show in July 2025, Wilkins confirmed the relationship and added that it started long before Patel was a headline name. She said she appreciated how honest he was when they met and laughed that being the girlfriend of the FBI director was not on her bingo card, but here they are.

As their relationship draws more attention, especially with Patel under the microscope, Alexis has stayed the course. Whether she is singing at a wrestling event or working late on Capitol Hill, she is keeping her boots on the ground.

And that is the thing about Alexis Wilkins. She is not just dating someone powerful. She is building her own influence in real time, whether behind a mic or a podium.
