Hang loose with your friends and enjoy the ultimate summer kick-off, Hangout Music Festival, on the white sand beaches along the Gulf Shore of Alabama from May 17-19, 2024. It’s three days filled with music from your favorites across genres – from pop and country to electric music, rock, alternative, and down to rap! It’s definitely a paradise for music lovers, especially those who love listening to music in crowds with sand feeling soft under their feet and the sea breeze pressing lightly on their skin.

The festival first started in 2010, and its growth has been massive. In fact, in recent years, it has added over $40 million to the local economy. It’s also been awarded Pollstar’s Music Festival of the Year and is distinguished as one of the best in the US. Last year, they had a star-studded lineup with top acts, including GloRilla, Rainbow Kitten Surprise, Lil Nas X, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Flume, Mariah the Scientists, Ferg, Paramore, SZA, The Kid Laroi, Kevin Gates, Skrillex and Calvin Harris.

This 2024, they’re keeping their reputation, inviting Lana Del Rey, The Chainsmokers, Odesza, and Zach Bryan as headliners. Aside from Bryan, representing country and roots are up-and-rising artists Koe Wetzel, Megan Moroney, Wyatt Flores, Dylan Gossett, Alana Springsteen, Laci Kaye Booth, Tanner Adell, and more.

Festival Essentials & Insider Tips

Plan your hot summer kickoff fest with these essentials and tips.

First is the ticket. They have four-tier ticket packages: GA ($359), GA Plus ($579), VIP ($1,499), and Super VIP ($2,299). Kids under 5 are free, and everyone under 17 must have an accompanying adult over 21. Due to safety concerns, only two (2) children per parent or guardian are allowed. Next are add-ons. You can purchase a locker for $60 and a shuttle pass for $65 for a hassle-free experience. They also offer commemorative tickets, water bottles, bucket hats, and Turkish towels. These will definitely be handy since it’s a rain-or-shine event. Also, like Coachella, they have multiple stages, so you might want to wear something comfortable to help you get through the all-day standing situation.

To make your experience even better, they’ve also arranged for lodging and beach vacation packages. If you want to look for more options, you can contact Brett/Robinson.

Here are some of the things you should note while preparing: First, bags should be clear and no larger than 12” by 6” by 12”. Only non-glass water containers are allowed inside. You are not allowed to bring outside food or drinks, but they’re available inside at a reasonable price. And it’s cashless, so make sure you don’t forget your cards.
