A Song of Praise & Worship
“Lord, I Offer My Life to You” is one of the most popularly known contemporary gospel hymns sung in church nowadays. It is so melodic and its lyrics simply tug at one’s heartstrings. Also, it is a song that spells out a Christian’s offering and best wishes to the Lord.
Mostly sung in offertories, “Lord, I Offer My Life to You” tells that as disciples of God, we are willing to offer everything to Him. Yes, the song says everything — our hopes, plans, dreams, and even lives. In return for His grace and guidance, we glorify Him as we offer ourselves. We know that God moves in ways we don’t expect. He knows His plans and of course, these plans are greater than what we can comprehend. Furthermore, this hymn serves a meaningful and valuable experience with God. What a wonderful way to praise and glorify the Lord!
Here’s a piece of this glorious hymn:
All that I am all that I have
I lay them down before You o Lord
All my regrets all my acclaim
The joy and the pain
I’m making them Yours
Things in the past things yet unseen
Wishes and dreams that are yet to come true
All of my hopes and all of my plans
My heart and my hands are lifted to You
Lord I offer my life to You
Everything I’ve been through
Use it for Your glory
Lord I offer my days to You
Lifting my praise to You
As a pleasing sacrifice
Lord I offer You my life
