Love is one of the biggest risks that a person can take. Thus, we literally put our heart, time, effort, and emotions on someone. Sometimes, our world even revolves on the person we love that we tend to forget our own happiness. Also, feeling loved and the feeling of being loved is one of the best feelings in the world. Again, this was easily interpreted by Billy Currington; he lets the song describe what he feels when he is in love. But, sometimes we also need to think of our own happiness. We need to leave something for ourselves.

“The Cowboy Hunk”

William Mathew Currington or widely known as Billy Currington is an American singer-songwriter for the country music genre. His name rose to fame on 2003 when he signed with Mercury Records Nashville and was able to produce six studio albums. Thus, he became the new talk of the town as the Cowboy Hunk. Well, aside from his good looks, this man can sing pretty well, and of course, girls drool over him.

Like other successful artists, Billy Currington also had a rough childhood. When he was in high school, he failed getting in Opryland but this did not stop him to pursue his dreams. Hence, he continued his music career in Nashville where in he sang in a bar. The doors opened to him when he started recording demo tapes and writing his own songs. Since his appearance to the spot light, he was able to release chart topping songs. Further, it seems like this guy will stay on the spot light for a long time because the public loves him.

“The Chart Topping Song”

“Must Be Doin’ Somethin’ Right” was recorded by Billy Currington and it was released in 2005. Also, it was penned by Marty Dodson and Patrick Jason Mathews. Upon the songs debut, it dominated the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Songs and it became Currington’s first no.1. At last, this is the moment that he is waiting for since he was a child.

Lyrically, the song is pleasing to the ears, especially how it was musically arranged.  Even more, it became a ballad for serenading when Billy Currington incorporates his style to it. In addition, the song talks about how lucky he is in his relationship. Other critics said that “Must Be Doin’ Somethin’ Right” has a relaxed, mellow Californian vibe.

In conclusion, everything about being in love is the best part, the hard part is keeping that love alive.
