The fast-rising country newcomer has another hit on his hands! Bailey Zimmerman recently dropped the heartfelt country song, “Rock and A Hard Place,” at the request of his fervent, swiftly growing following on social media.

The song debuted at No. 2 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs upon its release – making it this year’s second highest debuting song on the said chart. Billboard even reported that it ranks the highest non-Morgan Wallen country song premiere of the year. Since it is not a radio single, this peak was entirely achieved through the streaming of the song.

The Song Will Take You To The Hardships Of A Relationship

Written by Bailey Zimmerman with Heath Warren, Jacob Hackworth, and Jet Harvey, “Rock and A Hard Place” takes listeners through the excruciating, grueling details of a relationship – with the most painful lines – as he reflects on whether he would try to fix a terribly broken relationship or cut his losses and hope for a brand-new start.

The song comes with the same emotive and all-too-relatable music video that will make your heart race. It follows a couple who’s on the verge of breaking up. Zimmerman portrayed the fictional protagonist that’s still in love with his wife, but sadly, her heart has moved on to another man.

Now, Zimmerman is both puzzled and devastated. After all, he believed they were committed to a lifetime future together.

“What the hell’s this all for? Is this where it mends, or it breaks?” Zimmerman belts out, showcasing his gravelly, rock-infused vocal delivery and powerful storytelling skills. It truly is a standout among Bailey Zimmerman songs.
