Miranda Lambert has always been a strong voice in the advocacy of having more female power in country music. But now, she says she’s tired of the conversation and insists that we do something about it instead.

Miranda’s Not Interested in Talking Anymore

Lambert has been a strong powerhouse when it comes to this advocacy. She didn’t have it easy, starting out early on in her career. As someone who experienced the struggles of being a woman in such a male-dominated genre first hand, she’s trying her best to advocate on having a better environment for the next generation of women to pursue their artistic crafts.

“So I’m very protective of the music, and I’m very protective of the newer girls! If these are my little soldiers, then I’m going to fight to give them a place that makes sense, to let the people coming know I love their music — and they need to hear these women.”

Lambert also says that she’s tired of the conversation because it’s getting very circular.

“I’m sick of it, and I figured, ‘Why don’t we just go do something?’ Put the music on the road, give it to the people – and hopefully, they hear what they need in these songs. If the side effect is we can’t be ignored anymore, great, if it doesn’t work, that’s OK, too. We’re still gonna be out there, making great music, rocking the fans and having fun.”

In fact, she stepped up to help some of the country’s most deserving young female artists with her upcoming all-female 2019 Roadside Bars & Pink Guitars Tour.

Roadside Bars and Pink Guitars

The Roadside Bars and Pink Guitars Tour consists of 26 dates, and it will start on the 13th of September in Uncansville, Conn., making additional stops in New Orleans, Baltimore, Milwaukee, and more.

And, Lambert’s bringing along some serious female power on selected dates including Maren MorrisElle King, the Pistol Annies, Tenille Townes, Ashley McBryde, and Caylee Hammack.

I’m so excited and honored to be on tour with some of my favorite artists, who each inspire me in a different way. Maren Morris is a fiery fellow Texas girl that isn’t afraid to take a risk and be who she is. Elle King is a brave, confident and unapologetic artist who is honest about her life and uses it for her art.”
