For most us, we’ve known Kevin Costner for his starring roles in movies such as Bull Durham, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, The Bodyguard, among others. He also served as the leading man to several films including Message in a Bottle, Thirteen Days, The Guardian, and Criminal, to name a few. His most recent project was the drama series Yellowstone, which features some of our favorite country songs. He is one of the most decorated artists with several accolades from prestigious organizations under his belt. His valuable contributions in the film and entertainment industry earned him these awards and recognition.
While Costner still appears on the silver screen occasionally, he makes sure that he becomes more visible to his fans and supporters by showing them what else he can offer. With that said, Costner embarked on pursuing a recording career to put on show his golden voices. You read it right, folks. Costner does not only act, but he also sings, and he’s good at it!
Thanks to his wife Christine who encouraged him to cultivate further the other talent that he has. He founded the country rock band Kevin Costner & Modern West and began a world tour in October 2007. The following year, the band released their debut album Untold Truths which charted both on the U.S. Billboard Top Country Albums and Top Heatseekers charts.
“Let Me Be the One”
This song is not part of the band’s debut album. Instead, it appeared on the sophomore album Turn It On which dropped in February 2010. “Let Me Be the One” was the first single and one of the eleven tracks included on the said record. The band also produced the project which materialized in Europe. Along with its release was a European tour to help promote the album internationally.
