Keith Urban Reportedly Regrets the Divorce, and Nicole Kidman’s Friends Are Worried She’ll Let Him Back In

Keith Urban in dark sweater and long hair during an interview, as reports in early 2026 claim he regrets divorcing Nicole Kidman and wants reconciliation, while her friends worry she'll take him back after 19-year marriage ended.

Keith Urban did not put up a fight when Nicole Kidman flew to Australia with the girls for Christmas, and now her friends are sweating bullets.

After Nicole officially filed for divorce back in September, it seemed like the book was closed. Nineteen years, two daughters, and one of Hollywood’s most beloved love stories were suddenly gone. They were barely speaking, and the vibe was frozen stiff. But something shifted over the holidays, and now the same guy who once packed up and left is reportedly regretting every mile he has put between them.

“Keith has done a real 180 the last few weeks,” a source told The National Enquirer, and that little shift is causing big concern. Keith played it cool when Nicole changed their holiday plans and kept the girls down under. He could have kicked up dust, but instead, he kept his boots planted and let her go. And that gentleman move hit her right in the heart.

Now Nicole’s friends are begging her not to let him back in.

It sounds like Urban, who is fifty-eight, has been stumbling through the single life and realizing it is not what it is cracked up to be. According to Woman’s Day, the country star is lonely, exhausted, and wondering if walking away from Nicole was the worst call he has ever made. The reports say he is missing his best friend, the person who always showed up for him, and the woman who held him together when he was unraveling.

And if you believe the whispers, Nicole might still love him, too.

That is what has her friends losing sleep. The same crew that held her up when the marriage hit the skids is now trying to keep her from running back to the wreckage. They say she spent too many years twisting herself into knots to make Keith happy. Now that she is finally free, they do not want to watch her fall into old patterns again.

“Everyone close to her knows she still loves and misses Keith,” one insider said, but that does not mean she should throw the door open again.

Nicole is on a rocket ride right now. She is leading Practical Magic 2, hosting the 2026 Met Gala, and starring in Margo’s Got Money Troubles. She has been stepping into her own spotlight, and she is doing it with her head high. After almost two decades of being part of a power couple, Nicole is finally putting herself first.

And yet, old love has a way of knocking just when the house gets quiet.

There are no confirmed reports of cheating and no big explosive scandal. One source close to the couple told RadarOnline that the split came down to their paths no longer lining up. And maybe that is the cruelest kind of ending. Not betrayal or bitterness, just slow heartbreak.

So now the question is simple but brutal.

Does she let him back in?

That is the crossroads Nicole Kidman is standing at. One way leads to her next chapter. The other leads right back to the man who broke her down more than once.

Whatever she chooses, it better be for her and for her alone.

Because the worst mistake you can make in love is thinking you owe someone your peace just because you miss their presence.
