Country star Kane Brown was one of the night’s biggest honorees during the 2023 ACM Honors, taped on August 24, 2023, at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville and aired on FOX on September 18, 2023.

The Tennessee native has achieved tremendous success internationally throughout the years and has become one of the most recognized country artists worldwide. His Drunk or Dreaming Tour allowed him to conquer the United Kingdom, Europe, and Australia.

Because of this, Brown was honored with the ACM International Award – inspired by Jim Reeves and given to country music artists, duo/group, or industry leaders for their exceptional contributions to the genre’s growth worldwide.

Previous recipients of the prestigious award include Keith Urban, Lady A, Alan Jackson, Taylor Swift, Eric Church, Garth Brooks, and Dolly Parton, among others.

Brown’s achievement was also celebrated by a special performance from Lee Brice – with his rowdy cover of Brown’s “Like I Love Country Music.” Brown released the song in 2022 as the second single off his album, Different Man. It then ranked No. 1 on Billboard’s Country Airplay.

Making the night even more memorable were country icon Randy Travis and his wife Mary, who presented the ACM International Award to Brown.

Randy Travis And Kane Brown Sharing A Touching Moment

The beloved country couple, Randy Travis and his wife Mary, took center stage at the 2023 ACM Honors, where a roaring standing ovation met them. Mary, who spoke on behalf of the country legend, gave the audience a glimpse of Travis and Kane Brown’s relationship – which has grown since they first met in 2016.

“There’s no greater example of the power of music than what happened between Kane and Randy,” Mary said. She also praised Brown for achieving international success in just a span of eight years.

Travis then handed the trophy for the ACM International Award to Brown, who warmly accepted it. The “Bury Me in Georgia” hitmaker said the award means the world to him, especially since he is just a kid from a small town in Georgia, whose furthest place he ever traveled was Florida. He expressed gratitude for how country music has allowed him and his family to travel the world.

Brown also shared a special memory of Travis and Mary visiting his Tennessee home, where Travis signed two guitars for Brown’s girls.

Anyway, you can watch the touching moment in the video below.
