People are swooning over Jelly Roll’s wife, Bunnie XO. She has been featured in many of the singer’s music videos, and more recently, she has also been stealing spotlights whenever she attends country music events with the singer.

Former hiphop performer turned country artist Jelly Roll, 39, and his sweet other half, Bunnie XO, 44, first met in 2015, tied the knot a year later, and they’ve been happily in love ever since. In fact, last September 2023, they renewed their vows in Las Vegas – where the first chapter of their love story turned its first page. Well, that and because they couldn’t agree on their anniversary date.

And with Jelly Roll’s name taking over the country music rap game by storm, people have grown even more curious about his romantic life and his wife.

Who is Jelly Roll Married To? All About Bunnie XO

“The degenerate love child of Dolly Parton & Dr. Ruth” – that was how Bunnie XO hilariously referred to herself in her widely popular Dumb Blonde Podcast. But despite its name, the conversations in the podcast are very smart and wide-ranged – from general life lessons, the sex work industry (which she was a part of until her retirement as an escort in 2020 and when she made the decision to shut down her OnlyFans account in March 2023), and the life of being an influencer to name a few.

She’s also a singer like Jelly Roll. Every year since 2020, she has released her NSFW music about Christmas. In 2020, she dropped “Shimmy Down My Chimney” to the tune of the classic “Santa Baby.” A year later, she came out with her cover of “You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch,” which she called “Mista Grinch.” She featured Savannah Dexter, and her husband, Jelly Roll, even made a cameo as Grinchy Roll. In 2022, she did a spin of “All I Want For Christmas is You” with “Bring Your Package To Me (Christmas Screw).” The next year, she released “12 Days of Rizzmas.”

Aside from being a thriving career woman, she’s also a proud wife and her husband’s biggest supporter. In his 2023 Billboard cover story interview, Jelly Roll called her “a beacon of change in my life.” She helped him through life, and she has become his biggest cheerleader.

And last but definitely not least, she is also a mother. When she and the singer married in 2016, she also became a stepmother to Jelly Roll’s children, Bailee Ann and Noah Buddy.

In a 2020 Facebook post, Jelly Roll praised his wife for being a mother to his kids, especially to Bailee. He said, “It takes a special kind of woman to raise a kid that isn’t her child and still treat the child as if she was.” He also added that she was the epitome of a good mom, and she deserved more credit than anyone because she didn’t have to step up to the plate the way she did.

And Bunnie never failed to step up. In January 2024, she defended Jelly Roll and Bailee when a TikToker called them “massively overweight.” She hoped he would have the day that he deserved before continuing to say, “People like you don’t make it far in life.”

How Did Jelly Roll and Bunnie XO Meet?

The couple met back in 2015 when Bunnie attended one of Jelly Roll’s concerts at Las Vegas Country Saloon. The singer shared in the comedy podcast King and the Sting and the Wing Clips that they actually talked backstage that night, but Bunnie was in a relationship then. They still kept in touch after that through mutual friends. Shortly after their first meeting, Bunnie splits with her partner, and Jelly Roll gets wind of the fact that she is interested in him.

So, he shot his shot. (And as he also noted, Bunnie kind of shot hers, too.) He told her of his plans to shoot some music video content out in Vegas, and Bunnie offered her place for him to crash at. He was living in his 1996 van at the time, and he drove all the way to her. On his first night, he slept on the couch. Then, on the second night, he slept on her bed.

And that was it: They were together.

Jelly Roll and Bunnie XO’s Relationship Timeline

In the early days of their relationship, Jelly Roll sat Bunnie down and talked about his situation.

He was homeless, living out in his van, couldn’t rent a place because he was a felon, and also couldn’t buy a house because he had no proof of income. He also told her about Bailee, who he was trying to get full custody of (because her mom was an addict), and another woman he got pregnant. The podcast host simply responded, “Whew, man, that’s a lot. But I got you.”

Bunnie was working as a high-end escort in Vegas then, and she was way more financially secure than Jelly Roll.

And she really did. She helped him get a condo so that he could take Bailee home with him and give her a comfortable place to live. At this point, they were together, but things weren’t set in stone. Yet she said to him, “No matter what happens with us, I’m gonna help you get this little girl.”

They got Bailee, and they didn’t break up. Well, they actually did — very briefly. In July 2018, Bunnie posted a breakup vlog on her YouTube channel with the caption, “Heartbreak sucks. Watch as I go through it.” Thankfully, they figured things out.

Now, they’re happily in love with life and with each other. And they’re enjoying their happy little family. (If you want updates about the family, you can check out Bunnie’s series “Meet the DeFords.”)

How Did Jelly Roll and Bunnie XO’s Wedding Happen?

Onstage at the Yelawolf and Deftones concert in Las Vegas, after a year of dating, Jelly Roll proposed to Bunnie XO. That night, they officially became Mr. Jason Bradley and Mrs. Alisa DeFord (Bunnie XO’s real name) through a spontaneous marriage. In an episode of The Bobby Bones Show, the singer revealed that they got married at 1 o’clock in the morning. “They let us pick our anniversary so we don’t know which day we actually got married on,” he said. And because of that, they decided to renew their vows to settle it once and for all.

Bunnie posted about their plan to do so on Facebook a month prior, in July 2023, saying that she was going to wear a real wedding dress since she didn’t get to do so the first time. For the day itself, Jelly Roll revealed that he would be playing between August 30th and September 1, but he’d be leaving the show to go straight back to the little chapel where they first got married and then do it again.

What Makes Jelly Roll and Bunnie XO’s Marriage Work?

Jelly Roll and Bunnie XO have always made it a point to express their appreciation and love toward one another on Instagram.

And in June 2020, Jelly Roll let fans in on the secret to their marriage – how they stuck it out despite all of the things said about them. And it was communication. In the post, he penned, “We are comfortable having uncomfortable conversations, we prioritize communication, we have learn to laugh at the small shit, and above everything we don’t take anything to seriously.”

Jelly Roll’s wife, Bunnie XO, has been with him through thick and thin, supporting him through his darkest moments. She is the backbone of his life.
