It was undeniably a great night for country music after the recent culmination of the 2020 ACM awards. We all sure have our own favorite parts including performances and the joy or disappointments of those who won or lost certain awards.

Many were Waiting for this:

After almost a decade of silence, Taylor Swift had made it to the top 5 in the ACM Awards. It is not really something new for Taylor Swift. It’s just that it happened at the time when there were controversies. Wow!

This also is Remarkable!

In Nashville for three nights in a row, Carrie Underwood exhibits her talent. It was captured during the best moments of the ACM Awards show. Even the venues where all the winners received their awards were iconic: Bluebird Cafe, Grand Ole Opry, and the Ryman Auditorium. Blake Shelton received his award live in winning Single of the Year.

The Ladies are Back!

Another thing about Carrie Underwood, she made it in the Entertainer of the Year category. And with her on top 5 was Eric Church in his performance of “Stick That in Your Country Song.”

Another powerhouse performance was rendered by Mickey Guyton singing “What Are You Gonna Tell Her?”. That performance of Mickey Guyton became more momentous when she was joined by the ACM Awards night host Keith Urban.

It marks, again, a momentous night in the history of country awards show, as Mickey Guyton is the first-ever black woman to be a featured performer at the ACMs. Wow!

Keeping Those We’ve Lost Close to Our Memories

It has been a difficult twelve months but what made it more difficult is the country’s loss of brilliant and talented country music singers, songwriters, and producers. That’s why the tribute by Trisha Yearwood absolutely made this list. It made the ACM Awards show more memorable, unforgettable, and real. For sure this performance made the audience teary-eyed.

We were blessed that were given an equal opportunity to witness one of the most historic ACM Awards night. I sure can’t wait for next year’s ACM Awards!
