Duck Dynasty’s Phil Robertson has officially reunited with his wife, Miss Kay, after months of being separated due to ongoing health issues—and the family says it’s been a major boost for both of them.
On a recent episode of the Unashamed podcast, their son, Jase Robertson, confirmed that Phil and Miss Kay are now sharing a room at the care facility where they’ve both been recovering.
“[He’s] helping her morale and she’s helping his morale,” Jase said. “He’s been so much calmer since she came back in.”
The reunion comes after a rough stretch for the family. Phil, 78, has been battling Alzheimer’s, a blood disorder, and spinal fractures. Miss Kay, 74, suffered a serious fall earlier this year that led to a bad infection and required surgery. For a while, the family wasn’t sure if she’d pull through.
“We were kind of dealing with the fact that maybe this is it,” Jase said. “That’s what it seemed like in the moment.”
Thankfully, her condition improved—and now that the couple is back together, the family has seen a big difference. Though they’re still under medical care, having each other nearby has made all the difference in their spirits.
“They’re in a facility where there are other people,” Jase explained. “But they have their own little private room, and so they’re helping each other. That’s been positive.”
Of course, it wouldn’t be the Robertsons if things didn’t get a little loud.
With the family able to visit again, the room has been full of relatives, friends, and plenty of chaos. So much so that the care facility has apparently asked them to tone it down.

“We have so many people coming up there that we’re being disruptive,” Jase admitted. “We’ll have to address that.”
Phil also hasn’t lost his sense of humor. During a recent visit, he kept commenting on Miss Kay’s hair, which has grown out during her recovery.
“She’s had kind of a Cruella Deville look,” Jase joked. “And Phil, every 15 minutes, would look at her and say, ‘What’s Kay got going on with that half-devil hair?'”
Despite the challenges, the reunion seems to be exactly what they both needed. Two people who’ve spent a lifetime together are now navigating one of the toughest seasons side by side—and still finding reasons to laugh.
For now, the Robertsons are back in the same room, surrounded by family, and still making a little too much noise everywhere they go.
