Country On The Bay is coming back and setting up camp for three days at Fort William Historical Park in Thunder Bay, Ontario, from July 19-21, 2024. They made their inaugural run in 2022, and in just a short time, they’ve already established themselves as one of Canada’s highly-anticipated country fests

Singer-songwriter and TV personality Blake Shelton, Platinum-selling country star Dallas Smith, and Grammy-nominated country star Trace Adkins are taking the primetime slots. Taking the stage with them are Sawyer Brown and High Valley. Last year, they had Brothers Osborne, Walker Hayes, and Dean Brody as headliners. 

Jason McCoy will serve as the official host, and DJ Johnny Rivex will be tagging along all weekend long—again—to hype the party up.

Festival Essentials & Insider Tips

The event has a capacity of 12,000 per day, and it’s filling up fast. So, if you don’t want to miss it, grab your tickets now. 

This year, day passes are not available. Instead, you can purchase 3-day packs: General Admission (CA $366.12), GA Party Pack for 6 (CA $1,925.53), and VIP Weekend Pass (CA $479.12). For the VIP, organizers have listened to everyone’s feedback, and they’re back to 2022 VIP Locations with additional changes being made to accommodate our festival patrons.

Children aged 10 and under are free when accompanied by an adult in the GA section.

As for accommodation, Thunder City Speedway has opened up its racetrack again to be a campground during the weekend. There’s a minimum of 2-weekend ticket purchases per site booking (CA $150 plus HST)—all campground booking requests and payments (via e-transfer) are to be made via email at [email protected]. Campsites are not confirmed until payment is received and a confirmation email is sent back to the person booking. You can also book in preferred hotels: Victoria Inn Hotel & Convention Centre, Delta Hotel, Valhalla Hotel & Conference Centre, Days Inn & Suites Thunder Bay, and Days Inn Thunder Bay North. 

Shuttles will be available (CA $20, cash only for the weekend), and a full, detailed map will be released soon. However, if you have your own vehicle, you can park on-site (CA $5/day). However, it’s on a first-come, first-served basis.

You should never remove your wristband. But if it has to be removed for work purposes, visit the Willcall office to have it removed. For re-entry, you need to visit the Willcall office again and provide proof of purchase, the removed wristband, and an ID that matches the proof of purchase.

Doors open at 3 p.m. Absolutely NO alcohol or drugs are permitted on the Fort William Historical Park property.
