With his strong foundation of traditional and vintage sounds, Southern Tennessee country singer Darryl Worley songs appeal to both young and old listeners alike for his refreshing candor and down-to-earth persona. Worley’s five successful albums and seventeen chart hits were influenced by his family’s background in music — with music teachers from his father’s side, aunts who played pianos, relatives who are songwriters, and a grandfather who is a passionate musician.

Aside from being a country flair, the 6 foot-six inch country musician aspired to be a military pilot in high school but decided to take Bachelor of Science in Biology, Major in Chemistry at the University of Northern Alabama instead. After Worley’s family plunged into sudden poverty and marriage issues between her parents began to occur, music became his source of solace. He paid for his college finances by taking blue-collar jobs while pursuing his passion by forming his own country band.

When he graduated from college, Worley worked as a research biologist and established a chemical supply company. But his passion for music never withered, so he continued writing songs and began his career in Alabama until he secured a recording deal in Nashville.

Whether he’s writing about his love for his community or singing about life’s ups and downs, 2000s country sensation Darryl Worley proves that the themes of family, life, and love will remain classic.
