Naomi Judd‘s family petitioned to keep the details of her death private, including transcripts and recordings. The appeal claims that if the tapes were made public, it would result in excruciating anguish and irreparable harm. However, Ashley questions the likelihood that their request to keep the death records private will be granted. She argues that the information belongs only to their family’s memories and not for the public to prey upon.
Tennessee law permits the law enforcement officers to withhold information throughout an ongoing investigation, but the materials are frequently made public once the investigation is complete.
