Austine Burke’s “Wet Dream” is the newest last song syndrome in town, and everyone is just honestly obsessed with it. Whether you like it or not, the song will get stuck in your head for days, and eventually, you’ll find yourself jamming to it and actually enjoying it. The witty, double entendre song about fishing (or is it, really?) has now earned over 21 million views and counting and even hit the top 5 spot on the U.S. iTunes chart with Walker Hayes’ “Fancy Like” at number one.

The Wet Dream song was written by Burke himself alongside his buddies Joe Fox and Zack Dyer and produced by Brandon Day. He first revealed the song on his TikTok account, sharing it with his grandmother, then his mom, and finally his dad, where he captured their candid and priceless reactions. And the Internet loved it as well, garnering over millions in views and likes.

According to the Phoenix native country music singer, he had no idea that it would become as big as it has. He even said in a tweet how he poured his heart out in songs that cut deep into the soul, but he ended up having a joke song called Wet Dream blow up. But at the end of the day, his fans were all that mattered to Burke, and they clearly wanted the song. Burke also added that it has been a rough couple of years, and people are already tired of talking about it and hearing it in songs. People just wanted to have fun, and so it was time that we all went fishing.

He called his manager then and told him that they should put it out. And they did. The song dropped last August 11 and is now available on all streaming platforms. You can listen to Austin Burke’s “Wet Dream” in the video below or buy it for 0.99 on iTunes. Stream and enjoy!
