World-winning country artist Kris Kristofferson penned one of the classic hits in the ’70s entitled “Lovin’ Her Was Easier (Than Anything I’ll Ever Do Again).” This track is popularized by Kristofferson and it was released in 1971 as a single from his album, The Silver Tongued Devil and I.
Upon its release, “Lovin’ Her Was Easier” entered into country charts and peaked at number 26 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart and at number 4 on the US Billboard Adult Contemporary chart.
Since it became popular, some music artists made their own versions of it such as Roger Miller, Tompall & the Glaser Brothers, Mark Chesnutt, and Waylon Jennings.
