Country star and animal-advocate Miranda Lambert wanted to do things differently for Giving Tuesday. Using the foundation as her platform, she urges her fans and fellow animal lovers to pledge to volunteer for a day at their local animal shelter on Tuesday, the 26th of February instead. Moreover, there were three randomly selected shelters that received a $1,000 donation on behalf of their volunteers.
Charitable Efforts
The “Tin Man” singer made a call to action about urging other people to volunteer and was pleasantly surprised by the response that they received.
“We didn’t know if one person or 100 people would rise to the challenge and were thrilled by the response of 399 rescue-loving folks who signed on. Nothing makes me happier than to see people actively participate in making a positive difference at their local level.”
MuttNation’s Official Facebook page also posted about their gratitude with the amazing response, urging to “keep making a difference together.”

And we are thrilled to announce that we have given a $1,000 grant to 3 of the shelters where our amazing volunteers Jodi, Leigh and Heather so generously donated their time. ?”
They posted their thank you message along with their announcement for the recipients of the grants. The recipients include Morning Meadow Animal Rescue, BARC Humane Society, and Dogwood Animal Shelter.
