Trisha Yearwood’s cooking show was the fulfillment of her lifelong dream. The show began airing in 2012, and it featured Trisha’s special southern recipes. Yearwood did not expect to win an Emmy for a daytime show.
As a child, her dream was to be like Cher and Linda Ronstadt Yes, she was exposed to the captivating voices of female country singers at a young age.
“If you would have asked me 20 years ago what I wanted to accomplish in my career, I would not have said ‘I want to win a Daytime Emmy.’”
She shares inside the Chesapeake Energy Arena during their Oklahoma City stop for The Garth Brooks World Tour with Trisha Yearwood.
“But the show won one on its second season and got nominated again, so pretty cool.”
Her show was recently nominated this year for the award Outstanding Culinary Program. Trisha’s Southern Kitchen is airing every 9:30 a.m., Saturday. The 10th season’s first episode will be titled ‘Go Nuts for Doughnuts’. It will feature the country singer-chef making meals out of a doughnut-based menu. The menu takes inspiration from a visit to the Five Daughters Bakery in Nashville, Tennessee. According to Yearwood, the doughnuts should be perfectly paired with her Facebook Live video series called ‘T’s Coffee Talk.’
In her Facebook series, the broadcast location depends on where her three-year world tour with Brooks would take her. She uses social media to communicate with fans initiate casual chats that would usually run for 20 minutes. The show features highlights of her day, including the most striking details and encounters during their recent tour. In some episodes, Garth would also join his wife.
It was social media guru, Bryan Moore, who urged her to go on Facebook Live. Moore asked Yearwood what she wanted to do with her social media show, and the singer responded with,
“Well, what I really do in the morning is I get up and stumble to the coffee pot and I have my coffee.”
In her show, Yearwood dons a pin that bears the caption “Coffee is my spirit animal”. The pin was a gift from the 3-year-old daughter of one of her friends.

The singer further describes her Coffee Talk show as something that’s more casual because it isn’t edited.
“It’s off-the-cut, and I think that’s what most people are doing in the morning. They’re getting up in the morning. They’re getting up and they’re having their coffee—or their Diet Coke, whatever their thing is they gotta have when they wake up. So we just have that time together and it’s fun.”
Adding up to Yearwood’s culinary success is her newly launched successful line of mixes through Williams Sonoma.
“The first time I walked into a Williams Sonoma, probably about 15 years ago, I was just like, ‘Oh my gosh, this is the Holy Grail if you cook. I love their stores. Garth and I, before we married, we would stroll through there hand in hand. We were building a house in Owasso, and we’d be like, ‘OK, when the house is done, we’re going to come in here and get our dishes and all of our stuff.”
Williams Sonoma is a kitchenware company that made an agreement to sell the country star’s Applewood Molasses Rub, barbecue sauce, Summer in a Cup cocktail mix, and her Unfried Chicken Seasoning Kit.
There is no doubt that Trisha Yearwood possesses so many great talents, and we believe this is one of the many things that make her more endearing and closer to her fans. We’re ecstatic to witness what other ventures she would take on, along with the future success that awaits her.
