The largest annual music festival in Vancouver Island, Sunfest Country Music Festival, is returning home this summer — from August 1-4, 2024 — to the 172-acre private paradise of Laketown Ranch in Cowichan Lake in British Columbia. And they’re stoked to deliver a one-of-a-kind long weekend experience for all country music fans.

Kicking it off in high gear is Canada’s preeminent country music artists, Juno Award Winners, and 9-time Canadian Country Music Award winners, The Washboard Union. And if that’s not heavyweight enough, they’re bringing four-time Grammy winner Keith Urban (whose new album High, dropping in September, might have a sneak peek), arena-selling artist Lee Brice, and country hitmaker Cole Swindell to the main stage. Accompanying them to burn up the stage is a high-energy slate composed of Canadian music artists Steven Lee Olsen, Josh Ross, sibling duo The Reklaws, and a crew of regional acts.

The previous year, fans were treated to a kickoff party by Jade Eagleson and solid primetime sets from Lainey Wilson, Billy Currington, and Blake Shelton.

In addition to amazing live performances, the festival boasts nature-paradise scenery and activities, including swimming in the lake, chilling on the beach, tubing down the river, and ziplining. The festival also has a sumptuous food vendor lineup that will truly satiate your cravings. It’s the best hangout place for anyone who loves tall trees, mountain peaks, freshwater, good food, and, of course, country music.
