In 2019, Ronnie Milsap collaborated with George Strait on the re-recorded version of his classic hit song “Houston Solution” for his album The Duets. The album included collections of duets with legendary country singers like Willie Nelson, Montgomery Gentry, Dolly Parton, and many more. Among the most looked-forward collaborations was his duet with the “King of Country Music,” George Strait.
Originally released in 1989, the song was considered one of Ronnie Milsap’s greatest hits, with it landing on the No. 4 spot on the US Hot Country Songs (Billboard).

Even before their collaboration, it seemed like George Strait was already admiring Milsap’s amazing musical skills. In an interview, George Strait went on to state that he has been quite a “big fan” of Milsap’s since the beginning, especially of his piano skills. Because of this, when they finally got the chance to collaborate – there is no denying it was quite the duet of the century.
