Among the outstanding songs graced by her voice, “Blessed” is perhaps the most encouraging one. “Blessed” transcribed from the excellent writing of Brett James, Troy Verges, and Hillary Lindsey. It is the second single from her Greatest Hits album. In March 2002, it became her fifth and last No. 1 single on the Billboard Magazine Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart.

Enchanting. That’s the word that comes to mind when watching McBride’s “Blessed” video. She looks almost like a whimsical fairy with her gorgeous dresses and brilliant blue eyes, not to mention the clip’s absolutely breathtaking scenery. In the song, McBride sings about all the reason she calls herself blessed. Moreover, the video shows different couples in-love and adorable kids who are playing in the flowers and soaking up the scenery. I guess everyone wants to know how we can transport to that magical place!

Deaton Flanigen directed the music video and premiered in late 2001. It is the first of her videos to feature her 2 older daughters, who would later appear in the videos for This One’s For The Girls” and “Teenage Daughters”. The video also features her husband John. The video setting looks like a forest but actually filmed on a sound stage in Nashville.

This video is the live version of  McBride’s “Blessed”. Enjoy watching.

#Blessed

We often hear people talk about being blessed, or about the blessedness of God. We sing “Blest Be the Tie That Binds”, and “Blessed Assurance”. But what do those words about “blessings” really mean as they are used in the Bible?

Being “blessed” means having supernatural power working for you. In contrast, being “cursed” means having supernatural power working against you.

Divine “coincidences” and heavenly meaning filled the days of the blessed person. Blessed people may or may not be wealthy by the world’s standards, but they enjoy a quality of life that most billionaires would envy.

At several separate points in the book of Deuteronomy, God tells those who will obey Him that He will bless everything to which they put their hands (14:29, 15:10, 23:20, 28:8,12). That’s what the blessed life is like. Everything you touch does well. Blessing permeates every aspect of your life—health, relationships, work, family, emotions, and thoughts.
