We hate to be the bearer of bad news, but Jimmy Buffett will no longer be touring for the remaining months of the year “due to health issues” and “brief hospitalization.”

On Tuesday (September 27), a representative of the country icon took to social media to announce the unfortunate news to fans. “On doctor’s orders, he must take this time to recuperate and heal. Jimmy looks forward to getting back on stage next year,” the statement said.

However, ticket holders of three out of Buffett’s five shows need to hold onto those tickets as they will remain valid for the newly rescheduled dates. In fact, new schedules for Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band’s show have already been posted.

The show at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena will now be on March 3, while the show at the same venue that was slated on October 15 has now been moved to March 11. Meanwhile, a new date for the show in San Diego’s Snapdragon Stadium – that was supposed to be on October 22 – will soon be announced.

Sadly, the remaining two shows – Salt Lake City’s Vivint Arena and Ford Idaho Center in Nampa, Idaho shows – had to be canceled and will no longer be rescheduled. Buffett’s team informed concertgoers that they could get a refund for their purchased tickets.

Jimmy Buffett’s Return To The Road

Following the pandemic that put the world into a pause, Jimmy Buffett started touring in May 2021 for the Life on the Flip Side tour, which was also the name of his thirtieth studio album released in 2020. The album made an impressive debut, ranking No. 2 on Billboard 200 – making it the singer’s highest-charting album in more than fifteen years.

On the other hand, Buffet’s tour, together with the Coral Reefer Band, started on April 23 in North Carolina. His last show was on August 20 at Alpine Valley in Wisconsin.

Well, we can’t wait to see him back on the road again!
