After listening to Jake Owen songs, we’re pretty sure that perfection just comes easily for the Vero Beach, Florida native. His performance has always been quick and effortless. You can tell that musical talent clearly comes naturally to him.

Naive but determined, Owen kicked off his musical career performing country covers in campus bars just for a few bucks and, often, a free beer. But his smooth baritone was something no one could ignore.

Eventually, he grew tired of singing songs of others, so he started writing his own songs. His songwriting skills were met with a favorable response which motivated Owen even more to chase after his dreams of becoming a country superstar. As a result, he skipped his remaining college classes and went straight to Music City. And he did just the right thing!

Nearly two decades since his debut, and he’s still going strong. Owen is now one of the hottest and most powerful voices in country music. Without further ado, here’s our favorite hits of Jake Owen.

1. Alone with You

From: Barefoot Blue Jean Night (2011)

“Alone With You” is arguably Owen’s most outstanding song, reaching No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. It finds Owen showing his vulnerability, confronting a woman who only flirts with him whenever she’s drinking. It comes with a music video that’s just as steamy as the song.

4. Yee Haw

From: Startin’ with Me (2006)

Released as Owen’s debut single, “Yee Haw” immediately caught the country listeners’ attention that it quickly peaked at No. 16 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. 5. Eight Second Ride
