Carrie Underwood did not just come here to play. She came to conquer, and she just made history while doing it.

The Oklahoma powerhouse has officially been named the highest RIAA certified female country artist of all time. With over 95 million units sold in the United States alone, including 22.5 million albums and 72.5 million singles across solo tracks and collaborations, Carrie has secured her place at the very top of the genre.

And in true Carrie fashion, she is doing it with grace, grit, and gratitude.

“Accomplishments like this are more than I would have ever dared to dream of when I was starting out,” she shared after being honored with the milestone. “I owe everything to the fans, who have literally voted for me from the beginning of my career and have showed up and given me so much love for over 20 years. I feel truly blessed.”

This is the same woman who walked onto the American Idol stage back in 2005 and set the country world on fire. Fast-forward two decades later and she is an eight-time Grammy winner, a three-time ACM Entertainer of the Year, and the voice behind some of the most iconic songs in country music.

Her numbers tell the story. Her debut album, Some Hearts, is now 9x Platinum. Her chart-topping anthem “Before He Cheats” has been certified 11x Platinum. Tracks like “Blown Away” at 5x Platinum, “Cowboy Casanova” at 4x Platinum, and both “All-American Girl” and “Church Bells” at 3x Platinum have only added to her unstoppable legacy.

She continues to roll out hits. Her recent duet with Cody Johnson, “I’m Gonna Love You”, is already Platinum. Even her holiday track “Favorite Time of Year” from her 2021 album My Gift has earned a Gold certification. Carrie Underwood has remained consistent and powerful throughout her entire career.

After a recent performance at the Grand Ole Opry, she was honored with a plaque recognizing her record-breaking achievement. According to MCA President and CEO Mike Harris, it is about more than just sales. It is about lasting impact.

“This monumental achievement solidifies Carrie Underwood’s legacy as a generational talent and a true titan of the music industry,” Harris said. “Becoming the highest RIAA certified female country artist of all time is a testament to the unparalleled connection Carrie shares with fans and the enduring power of her artistry.”

This is not just about a strong voice or a run of chart-toppers. This is about a woman who has built an empire with her voice, her passion, and her unbreakable bond with fans who have been by her side every step of the way.

While others come and go, Carrie has remained steady. She has done it all while staying true to herself, rooted in country, and always exploring new creative ground. She blends strength and faith with authenticity and fire. She does not chase trends. She sets the standard.

Carrie Underwood is now the highest RIAA certified female country artist of all time. She has earned her place at the top, and country music is all the better for it.
