Once again, Johnny Cash had country fans clapping and up on their feet as he serenaded them with “Sunday Mornin’ Comin’ Down.”

The country music singer recorded to four-minute track; it peaked at the #1 spot on the US Billboard Hot Country Songs and Canadian RPM Country Tracks charts. Johnny Cash is one of the many artists that covered the track along with Lynn Anderson, Shawn Mullins, Waylon Jennings, Roy Clark, Willie Nelson, and Jessie Morris.

“Sunday Mornin’ Comin’ Down” is one of Johnny Cash’s songs that was included in another album of his of the same name, including tracks he recorded and made while in prison.

Johnny’s Live Singing Performances

There are a lot of live performances of Johnny Cash singing “Sunday Mornin’ Comin’ Down,” and all of them had a striking similarity; everyone was giving the same energy, applause, and cheers as Johnny was about to begin his performance.

Before singing live in a performance in Austin, Texas, Johnny said he liked to sing a song written by Kris Kristofferson, as he always wanted to look back to where he came from so he doesn’t get lost on where he’s going.

In another video, while he was in Las Vegas in 1979, fans went wild when Johnny introduced himself by saying he was Johnny Cash. He shrugged a bit and gave the brightest smile as he strummed his guitar to begin.

In his live performances, Johnny Cash sings “Sunday Mornin’ Comin’ Down” with utmost passion, emotion, and feelings. As he finishes the last strums of the song, Cash thanks the audience, and again, he receives the same amount of love, energy, and thanks as everyone applauds his singing talent.

The audience’s reaction proves that Johnny is one of the greatest country music artists. Everyone truly basked in Johnny’s voice echoing inside the theater, and you could tell that everyone enjoyed him singing.
