Tracy Lawrence’s 15th Virtual Turkey Fry & Benefit Concert ‘Outperforms’ Previous Records Raising $125,000

Nothing spells country better than good music and a good heart. Not a few country artists found unconventional ways to use their same platform to demonsrate that there is more than just one way to show compassion for our neighbors. Here, we highlight Tracy Lawrence as he gets his 15th annual Mission Possible Turkey Fry on the move, helping 3,000 families fill their bellies.

Big Smiles, Full Tummies

Mission Possible Turkey Fry is an annual benefit concert Tracy Lawrence hosts. Held on November 24 this year’s roster of performers include Chris Young, Tim McGraw, Cole Swindell, John Rich, Mitchell Tenpenny and more. The stars gathered at the Nashville’s Wildhorse Saloon, although they opted for free-streaming so everyone can watch. They highly encouraged viewers to donate and participate in their auction through bids on items.

What’s surprising is that the benefit concert was able to beat its annual revenue. It earned approximately $125,000 which is more than the highest set record last year. Along the years, they were able to collect $1,000,000 which they soon donated to the homeless people in Nashville and those families who are financially struggling.

All proceeds received in this year’s event will be sent to Nashville Rescue Mission which envisions the betterment of the hungry, the homeless, and the hurting through programs and services that focus on a person’s entire life—physical, mental, spiritual, emotional and social.

Tracy Lawrence Day

Tracy Lawrence and his team were able to fry 500 turkeys for 3,000 families. He expressed his biggest thanks to people who consistently help their movement and how they outperform proceeds from previous years. He also stated that he honestly thought that donations wouldn’t reach their set quota, but to see people voluntarily donate and raise a sum of amount, he was just so ‘blown-away’.

Tracy Lawrence’s commitment to the community by providing people something to see and something to eat was also recognized by Tennessee, Texas’ Governor Bill Lee this 2020. Admiring his longstanding dedication to provide better lives for the community people, he officially set November 24, the same date as the benefit concert, as a local remembrance for the artist, hereby naming it Tracy Lawrence Day.

Whether that fried turkey is for thanksgiving or simply just a people favorite, its people like Tracy Lawrence that we should be thankful for.
