Yoakam’s album reached number seven on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart. In addition, it placed at number ninety-six on the Billboard 200. Six of his songs were released as a single. Hence, it entered the Billboard country chart and the Canadian chart.
On the same year the album was released, his single “Turn It On, Turn It Up, Turn Me Loose” reached number eleven on the country chart. In 1991, “Nothing’s Changed Here” and “You’re the One” entered the top 15 and 10, respectively. “It Only Hurts When I Cry,” “The Heart That You Own,” and “Send a Message to My Heart” entered the Billboard chart in 1992.

The Captivating Due
His single “Send A Message To My Heart” is one of his captivating songs from his album. He collaborated with Patty Loveless for the making of the song. This was the only single from his album that was recorded as a duet. In addition, Kostas and Kathy Louvin wrote the song. The single didn’t reach number one on the Billboard chart, but it was a magical duet from the two. “Send A Message To My Heart’ reached number forty-seven on the US country chart. Furthermore, it secured a spot on the Canadian chart.
About the Song
Despite that they are apart, the two people in the song are still strongly in love. They realized that not having each other makes a whole lot of difference in their lives.
All these moments alone
Make me realize
Just how empty this old world is
Without you in my life
Therefore, they send messages to each other to feel that they are still together.
Let me hear your sweet voice sayin’
You love me again
Even though we’re apart
I hold to your memory
Send a message to my heart
To keep you here with me
