The Internet has its own universe, decision and way of killing people and Willie Nelson seems like a favorite victim of the World Wide Web.
Willie Nelson, Rumors of Death
Time and time again, we notice that it’s a never ending cycle when it comes to country stars on how they rise to stardom, how everyone adored them and how secretly each one of them is battling an internal demon or a disease that leads to their ultimate death.
Legends like Willie Nelson have the media watching him and his health as we only have few of them left that could be considered as vanguards of ‘real’ country music. That is why it’s not a surprise that a single rumor could spread like a wildfire on the Internet about Willie Nelson suffering or Willie Nelson getting killed.

Willie Nelson is pretty much a good sport about it rather than getting offended. In fact, he made series of interviews on different e-magazines and poked fun of his supposedly online obituaries.
The country artist explained on one of his TV interviews:
“A long time ago, whenever I had ‘On the Road Again,’ when it had first come out, somebody came out with the joke, ‘Well you know Willie was out singing on the road again and got hit by a truck, That was what, 30 years ago? So every now and then somebody comes up with another Willie’s dead story. I always loved them, ’cause everybody was so glad to see me.”
Hollywoodlife.com on the other hand exclusively got an insider tip last month and their source mentioned:

Still not Dead, Recent Appearance
Two months ago and in his spirit of joking with us, Willie Nelson released “God’s Problem Child” containing the song “Still Not Dead” which chronicles Nelson’s day to day experience while opening his Mac and finding out several news of his death. The song begins with a catchy line: “Well I woke up still not dead again today.”
Right now, we can put our worries behind as we saw for ourselves that the country artist is alive and definitely kicking as he recently graced the “Wacky Tobaccy” of Toby Keith.
