After playing two shows with the renowned American rock band, Eagles, Vince Gill excites fans once more as he decides to join the band’s line-up again. In their most recent announcement, Eagles revealed four new tour dates this fall. The tour follows the death of the older Frey last year. He suffered from rheumatoid arthritis in January 2016. The late Glenn Frey’s son, Deacon Frey, will be joining Vince Gill as they share vocal duties—something that the two talented artists have successfully done during their previous collaborations early this year.
Just last July 15, the legendary band reunited and performed their hit songs as a tribute to Glenn. They put up an amazing show at the Los Angeles’ Classic West at Dodger Stadium. Together with Vince Gill, who performed New Kid in Town, Lyin Eyes and Take It to the Limit, they made a truly memorable event for the fans. Gill was also on guitars for Heartache Tonight. Another of Vince Gill’s amazing partnership with the Eagles took place at the 2016 Kennedy Center Honors where the legendary country singer sang alongside Bob Seger, Ringo Starr, Kings of Leon and Steve Vai to pay homage to the record-breaking band.[like_button]
“In my mind, I always thought I’d have made a good Eagle. But in a million years, I never would have seen this coming. It’s pretty surreal. I turned 60 recently, and to get to be a part of this amazing legacy of songs, that’s the greatest part of all this for me.” shares Gill.
The Eagles’ latest tour dates are set to take place in late October. The show will kick off on October 17 and will last until October 27. They will be performing in the following areas: Greensboro, North Carolina.; Atlanta, Georgia; Louisville, Kentucky; and Detroit, Michigan. Eagles guitarist Joe Walsh adds that short tours like their upcoming event will most probably be a norm for their band. “We’ve got some new blood. We all know the songs pretty good, but we just have to run the drill.”
Fans of the Eagles and Vince Gill are surely ecstatic to watch their idols share the stage once more and perform hit songs that will make them feel the irresistible rush of nostalgia.
