Janie's Fund

Tyler also launched an organization entitled "Janie's Fund." According to its website, the fund was mainly created to bring more awareness on abuse and neglect. It also aims to bring financial support to "...ensure that girls receive the most effective services available to help them overcome the trauma and pain of abuse."

To date, Janie's Fund has raised almost five million dollars for their cause. Both names are derivatives from the Aerosmith song about an abused girl named Janie in "Janie's Got a Gun."

He also said that he had been exposed to the realities of the victims of abuse and neglect. These are the victims that he met at the treatment centers that he had visited.

"While I was there, all the girls I met had been abused either physically, mentally or verbally, or at least 90 percent of them all. So, when I got out of there, I laid it all on Janie. I said, what are you going to do?"

In honor of raising money for the cause, there will be a Janie's Fund Grammy Awards Viewing Party that will take place during the Grammy Awards. It will be on the 10th of February in Raleigh Studios in Los Angeles. It will be the second time it will be conducted and all funds raised will benefit Janie's fund. The event will be hosted by actress Jane Lynch and there will be a special performance by Aerosmith.
