When Tim McGraw’s “Not a Moment Too Soon” Album Became Number One

Twenty-Four years ago, the album “Not a Moment Too Soon” of Tim McGraw became the number one album. It placed at the number one spot on the Billboard Top Country Albums on April 9, 1994. Apart from that, it became Billboard’s Best-Selling Album of 1994. Also, the Academy of Country Music Awards named it as the “Album of the Year.” Above all, the album is the reason for Tim McGraw’s prominence. Not to mention, it helped him boost his career. It opened more opportunities and more recordings for him.

“Not a Moment Too Soon,” was Tim McGraw’s second album. However, it was his very first to skyrocket or in other words, it became successful. It peaked at the number one spot on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart on April 9, 1994.

Furthermore, the album has ten singles and five reached top 10 on the Billboard. They are “Down On The Farm” at number two, “Indian Outlaw” at number eight, “Refried Dreams” at number five, “Don’t Take The Girl,” and “Not A Moment Too Soon” both at number one. The album was a multi-platinum certified by RIAA.

Meanwhile, “Not a Moment Too Soon” was the fourth single and title track under the album. It has received a positive and massive response from the country music obsessives. In fact, it reached the number one spot on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart on January 1, 1995. On the other hand, Wayne Perry and Joe Barnhill wrote the words and lyrics of “Not a Moment Too Soon.”
