It’s never easy to break up with someone you thought you would love for a long time because you already set up that you would be together forever in your mind. However, sometimes no matter how long you have been together and no matter how much you think that you’ll last, certain things happen. The worst part is when you miss them and you don’t know what to do or how to handle it. It’s like everywhere you go, all you could think of is that person. Nothing seems to change about the love you have for that person.

“Some Things Never Change” Content

The song that perfectly fits the scenario above is Tim McGraw’s song “Some Things Never Change.” His song is about a man who is still in love with his ex-lover. He still loves her even though they have broken up for quite a while. He even promises to love her forever, but love cannot last forever just like everything here on earth. Everywhere he goes, or whatever he does he remembers her. He knew he would get over her someday, but for now, he lets himself miss her. When it comes to breakups, it’s better to feel the pain, and it’s better to miss the person because eventually, we all get tired.

Tim McGraw’s Album and Single

Walt Aldridge and Brad Crisler wrote the song “Some Things Never Change” for Tim McGraw in 1999. The song became part of Tim McGraw’s album A Place in the Sun which was released in 1999. They released the song as a single in 2000, and it entered the US Billboard chart. “Some Things Never Change” peaked at No. 7 on the US Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. In Addition, his song remained on the chart for a total 20 weeks. The song also enters the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 58 and remain on the chart for 14 weeks. In 1999, Tim charted three number one songs on the chart, then in 2000 the first single he released that year peaked at No. 7. However, after “Some Things Never Change”  he scored another No. 1 the same year (My Next Thirty Years).
