Today marks 11 years since the album “Let It Go” was documented as No.1 album for Tim McGraw. It has been a decade since the album skyrocketed but this only proves that McGraw is one of the best-selling artists of his generation. Also, he is considered as one of the best male singers in the country music industry.

McGraw’s voice can reach country music enthusiasts from the young to the elderly. He can definitely touch us through his choice of music. Moreover, the themes of his songs can reach out to everyone from heartbreak, to family, to friendship, to life, and to experiences.

The Album…

“Let It Go” is McGraw’s ninth studio album. It was released on March 27, 2007, and it was his first studio album in two and a half years. Also, the album has produced Top 20 singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts. Of all the record McGraw released, this has created the most singles all throughout his career.

The firsts single in the album “Last Dollar (Fly Away)” became No.1 on the country charts. It was McGraw’s No.1 hit since “Back When” in 2004. Moreover, the second single is “I Need You,” a duet with his wife, Faith Hill, reached No.7 on the country charts.

A month after the song penetrated the charts, the album was re-issued with the song “If You’re Reading This” added. Then, the song was officially issued as the album’s third single that reached No.3 on the country charts.
