The Voice Judges Go Retro For Season 13 Promotional Video

The action-packed and retro promotional video that starred The Voice Season 13 judges left viewers giddy and excited for the new batch of aspiring singers to look out for. Featuring crazy, high-speed car chases, men thrown on the floors and out the windows, and even Blake Shelton punching Adam Levine just for the heck of it, it is clear that the 13th season of the famed talent show on TV will be one hell of a musical ride to the top.

As the four judges, Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, Miley Cyrus, and newcomer Jennifer Hudson get transported back in time, they assume the characters of 1970’s crime solvers. Donning killer outfits and exhibiting smooth combat moves, they successfully beat all the bad guys. In one of the scenes, Cyrus gets thrown to the ground but gets up to keep fighting crime while she rocks a denim jumpsuit. Her rebound portrays a classic Madonna from the 80’s and proves that she is a force to be reckoned with. Meanwhile, Hudson stuns the enemies with her eye-catching red jumpsuit and killer nunchucks. Levine sports a longer, wavy hair with a crisp white polo and jeans that make him look like the group’s rough romantic who can kill targets with a bull’s eye hit. Finally, Shelton seems to be the one who’s had the most fun out of the judges. He disguised in several costumes: goofy glasses, a bear costume, a turtle neck, pea coat and hat ensemble to pretend to be Sherlock Holmes, as well as a white dress shirt as he masquerades as Clark Kent. Finally, he dons a dashing red leather jacket as he joins the group as the walk in a straight horizontal line near the video’s climax.

Carson Daly, the host of The Voice, makes a cameo and plays the role of Lug Nut, a goofy and clumsy mechanic.

As the group continues to roam the streets in an old school police cruiser explicitly adorned with The Voice logo, it is clear that the judges are once again on the prowl for America’s finest vocal talent.

The Voice Season 13 will return on September 25 on NBC. The show will be airing at 8 PM ET. Don’t miss it!
