“Believe” lyrics

After love, after love [repeat] No matter how hard I try
You keep pushing me aside
And I can’t break through
There’s no talking to you
So sad that you’re leaving
Takes time to believe it
But after all is said and done
You’re going to be the lonely one, Ohh Oh

Do you believe in life after love
I can feel something inside me say
I really don’t think you’re strong enough,
Now
Do you believe in life after love
I can feel something inside me say
I really don’t think you’re strong enough,
Now

What am I supposed to do
Sit around and wait for you
And I can’t do that
There’s no turning back
I need time to move on
I need love to feel strong
‘Cause I’ve had time to think it through
And maybe I’m too good for you Ohh Oh

But I know that I’ll get through this
‘Cause I know that I am strong
I don’t need you anymore
Oh I don’t need you anymore I don’t need you anymore
No I don’t need you anymore

Taylor Alexander gives a country rendition in Cher's Believe

Cher’s ‘Believe’ is arguably one of the most iconic pop songs of the 90’s. It is said that this song introduced the idea of ‘auto-tune’ to the music industry. It took a whopping nine years of tinkering and lyric changes before ‘Believe’ was released as a chart-topping song and eventually, a signature Cher hit.

However, it only took four minutes for this ‘The Voice’ hopeful to turn all the auto-tune hard work and nine years of music production of ‘Believe’ to a laid-back but vocally powerful country song.

Apparently, the video showed Adam Levine as the only judge to turn for Alexander who was unexpected considering Blake Shelton was there. Oh, well. Yet it did not stop the audience from roaring their applause and praises as the momentum reveals that it was a familiar song to everyone.

Unfortunately, Alexander lost the Knockout Round during Episode 12 to Jesse Larson to advance the live shows.

Needless to say, Taylor, you got a bright future with flipping those songs!
