Susan Boyle Stuns Got Talent: Champions Like It’s 2009

January 10, 2019

Got Talent legend and global superstar Susan Boyle is back for "America's Got Talent: Champions" and we can't say we aren't all emotional about it. She appeared on the show's first episode aired on Monday, the 7th of January. And by far, she was one of the most gracious and humble talents to have ever stepped on stage.

She has undoubtedly evolved into an inspiration to other people. She was the defining moment in the talent show. Her journey showcased that it's never too late or too impossible to chase your dreams.

Let's look back at her original audition!

In itself, Boyle has evolved into a champion in on herself. She gave an impeccable answer in an interview when she was asked if she considers herself as one:

"Maybe as a champion for those who don't have the confidence to do things, for those who don't have a voice, the ones who people tend to ignore. I feel like I'm a champion for them"

Jaw-Dropping Performance

It was evident that she was nervous at first but after a calming breath, she started to sing. Boyle blew everyone away with a hauntingly poignant version of the Rolling Stones' acoustic ballad "Wild Horses." And, the crowd went wild for her.

There were a few tears in her eyes after she sung the ballad but her genuine reaction to Mel B's Golden Buzzer had us all teary eyed as well. Come take a look!

Judge Simon Cowell says some sweet words to her after her performance when he got up the stage and greeted her.

“You made a huge difference in lots of people’s lives and I’m absolutely thrilled that you’re here. I'm so proud of you."

- Simon Cowell

As she was stepping off the stage, Boyle expressed that she was happy and humbled that she got the Golden Buzzer. We're very excited to see what's next for this sensation. America's Got Talent: The Champions airs on Monday nights, at 8 PM on NBC.
