Shane Q took the stage at the second night of The Voice’s latest season and delivered a beautiful rendition of “Tennessee Whiskey.”
The hit singing TV show, The Voice, returns with its newer season and with that our favorite coaches also return to duke it out and see who can mold the best singer. Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, John Legend and Gwen Stefani returns to their chairs as coaches and will try to build the best teams of singers.
During the second night (September 24) of the blind auditions Shane Q takes the stage as the first performer and proceeds to floor everyone with his performance. Shane Q told the coaches that he works as a shuttle driver for people with special needs.
He told everyone how he enjoys speaking to his passengers due to the fact that not a lot of people tend to really talk to them. He tells everyone:
“Sometimes it can be easy for them to overlooked, and I understand that, because my younger years in life, I was extremely shy. I was scared to talk to people. I got a song for you. I kind of broke out of my shell when I started singing.”
Shane Q, His Performance and the Comments
It would seem like Shane had nothing to be shy for as when he started singing “Tennessee Whiskey” by Chris Stapleton, the coaches and audiences were immediately wowed.
His hot rendition of the song almost gained the singer a four chair turn. Coach Stefani was the first to turn her chair persuading the singer to choose her by saying:
“Hi, Shane. I turned my chair before everybody else. I noticed.”
This was followed by thegood natured banter between the coaches and singer about where he came from, not San Francisco, as it turns out.
Following that, Blake Shelton presented his history on the show trying to make the singer choose him, but the whole thing made it more about him than the singer. Kelly Clarkson uses another tactic commenting on the singer himself stating:
“I think the most beautiful part about you is that you didn’t categorize yourself. I love going in and out of genres, and that’s what I love about my career. I would be good for you as a coach in that sense. We could give you any song, and you could nail it!”
At the end of the night, the singer had chosen to be part of Team Clarkson.
