Scotty McCreery’s Surprise Opening Number for Garth Brooks

Bucket lists are often a great way to achieve so many things and adventures in life. It helps us keep track of how spontaneously and fulfilling we have been living each day we have. For country crooner Scotty McCreery, the latest item he crossed out on his list is not just a simple, random act of courage or outrageousness. Rather, it is a real dream come true for him and a great honor at the same time.

I opened up for @Garth Brooks tonight.Garth freaking Brooks!! Thanks for having me out man! A show I’ll never forget.” McCreery tweeted with a photo of him smiling and standing beside the legendary singer.

During the sold-out show of couple singer Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood at the Denny Sanford Premier Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota on September 22, McCreery surprised his idols by opening the show with a mesmerizing performance. His opening stint was not just a one or two-song occurrence, because he serenaded his idols, along with over 13, 000 fans for a solid 30 minutes.

From performing Five More Minutes to belting out See You Tonight, McCreery left the audience, along with Brooks and Yearwood in awe with his sexy singing voice and pure, unbridled love for country music. In fact, Garth Brooks tweeted about the surprise performance and had nothing but beautiful words to say about the young singer. In his Twitter account, he raved, “So great having you out! I could have listened to you all night long…or at least for #FiveMoreMinutes! love, g”

Scotty joined the crowd and feasted his eyes on one hell of a performance from Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood shortly after he completed his equally wonderful number. “It was a really incredible moment just being out there on that stage in front of a Garth crowd. I was about as nervous as I’ve been before a show, probably ever, but as soon as they introduced me, the crowd went nuts and that kind of eased my nerves.”

Scotty McCreery first soared to fame after winning the 10th season of the well-known reality singing contest on TV, American Idol. He has since been actively focused on building his career and sharing his passion for singing.
