Sarah Hardwig, a 15-year-old girl is rounding the social media now, breaking down walls, despite her disability. Sarah was born with Leber’s congenital amaurosis and has been blind her entire life. Instead of letting that delimit who she is, she accepts it fully and her accomplishments show that she has never let her being blind slow stop her from anything she wishes to do. Her latest performance in the Country Music Association Fest proves this.
As a 10-year-old
The first video that I came across with from this talented young lady on YouTube was her great performance of Carrie Underwood’s “Two Cadillacs”. In Carrie Underwood’s Blown Away album, the song served as the album’s third single. “Two Black Cadillacs” is a country pop song with lyrics talking about the story of two women who, when they realize they are both involved with the same man, set aside their differences. Together, they take matters into their own hands and agree to kill him. Watch the performance here. She was just ten years old, then.
More About Sarah
An all-time country music fan, Sarah traveled from her hometown of Naples, Florida to Nashville, Tennessee this past weekend to attend the Country Music Association Fest and the many events that go along with it. Sarah brought her talent as a singer-songwriter and her dreams of becoming a country star. She updates her social media accounts. Because of that, we get to follow her along on her Country Music Association Fest voyage. Would you believe she actually performed more than any other professional singer? Watch how she proved her incredible guitar skills while singing Abby Anderson’s “This Feeling” in the clip below.
She also had numerous shows in different cafes that week. As a bonus to her all-week performance, just about everywhere, she met so many country singers, including Craig Campbell who he sang with. Watch their video singing Underwood’s “Before He Cheats” below.
